Overview
FrameworX development tools runs on Windows and don't required a license. The Runtime (the solution you create) is multi-platform and license for use in production is required.
Installation
- Download FrameworX from tatsoft.com
- Run FrameworX-Setup.exe as Administrator on Windows 10 or newer.
- Click Next through the installer.
- Launch FrameworX to open the Solution Center.
Installation Requirements
- It requires 1.3 GB on disk, 4 GB RAM.
- .NET 4.8 is already part of any Windows OS, v10 or newer.
- The cross-platform .NET Desktop Runtime is recommended and is required for multi-platform and Web pages. The version depends on FrameworX: .NET 8 for FrameworX 10.1.4 and earlier, .NET 10 for FrameworX 10.1.5 and later. 10.1.4 and 10.1.5 can be installed side-by-side on the same machine as isolated runtimes.
- Installation Reference: detailed installation information.
What's New in 10.1.5
- .NET 10 is the default runtime. Install the .NET 10 Desktop Runtime alongside FrameworX 10.1.5 to enable multi-platform execution and Web pages. .NET 8 remains required only for 10.1.4 side-by-side installs.
- Local AI offer on first launch. When you start Solution Center for the first time after install, it offers to set up a local LLM via Ollama so you can try the AI features end-to-end on your own machine, with no cloud account required. See the Local AI walkthrough for details.
- AI Tutor first-run nudge. New users are pointed to the AI Designer Tutor Essentials learning path, which teaches FrameworX by building real objects in your live Designer session.
- Update notifications in Solution Center. The About / Update Notification panel now checks for newer FrameworX releases and surfaces them in Solution Center so you know when a new build is available.
- Upgrading from 10.1.4? Use the
UpgradeSolution.exeCLI to migrate existing 10.1.4 solutions to the 10.1.5 schema. See the Installation and Licensing Reference for the command-line options.
Activation
- No license needed for development
- Runtime: 4 hours time-limit to each execution session.
- Contact us for licensing information.
