Product Upgrades

FrameworX v10 is 100% compatible to upgrade to Framework 10.1, no solution modifications neither license upgrades are required.

Version 10.1 overrides and replaces the version 10.0 installation.

Starting with the 10.1.5 release, FrameworX supports side-by-side installation across 10.1 minor releases. 10.1.4 (on .NET 8) and 10.1.5 (on .NET 10) can coexist on the same machine, and Solution Center automatically launches the matching Designer for each solution. If you need to keep multiple versions in service due to solutions in production, contact support@tatsoft.com for guidance on maintenance and upgrade planning.

Upgrading from 10.1.x to 10.1.5

FrameworX 10.1.5 (released May 26, 2026) is a free upgrade for all 10.x customers and is solution-compatible with every prior 10.1 minor (10.1.0 through 10.1.4b). Upgrades follow a side-by-side install model so the previous version remains available during the cutover.

  • Side-by-side installation. 10.1.5 installs alongside 10.1.4 rather than replacing it. The two versions run in parallel on the same machine, each with its own runtime and Designer. Solution Center is version-agnostic and routes each solution to the matching Designer automatically.
  • Automatic solution upgrade with backup. When you first open a 10.1.x solution in 10.1.5, the solution file is upgraded in place. Solution Center preserves the pre-upgrade file as an automatic backup so you can return to the prior version if needed. For an additional restore point, export a Zip archive of the solution before the first upgrade.
  • Runtime targets. 10.1.4 remains the long-term supported release on .NET 8. 10.1.5 runs on .NET 10. Either runtime is supported and both can be deployed in parallel; choose per project based on infrastructure and certification requirements.
  • Command-line upgrades. For unattended or scripted upgrades, use the UpgradeSolution CLI tool.
  • Lifecycle and support policy. See the Product Lifecycle page for supported versions, maintenance windows, and end-of-life timelines.
