System Requirements

To use this feature, the following system requirements must be met.

:

  • KepServerEx V5 (or higher).
  • OPC UA ProtocolClient Connector

How to Use

The procedure for a successful OPC UA connection is divided into three main steps.

  • KepServerEx OPC UA Server Configuration
  • Creating certificates for Engineering and Runtime
  • Importing client certificates on OPC UA


Steps to configure Kepware with no security


1 - Open KepServer and right-click on Project → 'Properties...' and configure the following settings.

2 - Right-click on the following icon in the hidden icons section of Windows and select OPC UA Configuration:








3 - In the 'Server Endpoint' tab, create or modify the preexisting settings as shown:

4 - Right-click on the same icon as in step 3 and select “Reinitialize”.

5 - Open the software, navigate to Channel section and create a new channel using the OPC UA Client Driver protocol.

6 - Go to Nodes section and create a new Node

7 - Click in PrimaryStation, select mark “Disable Security”. After that, Click test and you will see “Connected”
