UNS Asset Tree (Reference) provides a hierarchical organization structure for solution data, enabling intuitive navigation, management, and visualization of tags and assets representing industrial systems.

The Asset Tree provides:

 UNS Tags (Reference) represent real-time variables and their associated historical records, providing a structured way to model process information by linking to physical devices, databases, or calculated values. 

Tags in the Unified Namespace provide:

UNS  UserTypes (Reference), also referred as UDTs, or DataTemplates, extend the platform's predefined data types by defining custom types with properties tailored to business needs, enabling modeling of solution-specific data structures like equipment status and asset attributes. A UserType provide:

UNS Enumerations (Reference) ssociate numeric tag values with descriptive text strings, enabling meaningful data presentation by displaying text instead of numbers in HMI displays.

Enumerations provide:

• Value-to-text mapping

enable direct interaction with variables in remote systems without creating local tags, establishing dynamic connections with external data sources for enhanced data access within the Unified Namespace.
